I spent days to migrate from iPhone to Android. I uploaded the entire iCloud Photos to Google Photos. Paid for the 1TB stroage plan. Now I want to download the photos from the by few months then I can admission them while offline/faster browsing. I realized that I can only Relieve the photos Ane By ONE. Why is this happening? This is a DEALBREAKER! I sympathize the whole purpose of cloud photo service is to save storage on local device. Just I tin can't even pick a batch of photos to save to my device? HELL NO!

Wow yes this is pretty ridiculous. Enabling Auto-Add in Google Drive is not a solution because a) it adds *all* your photos (I only want a few) and b) it loses all the anthology information and date sorting.

I suspect this is a conscious decision by Google to push people to the cloud.

I found a sort-of workaround - you can go to photos.google.com and download multiple photos. You accept to choose Select from the hamburger rather than long-pressing a photo, but otherwise the interface is identical to the app simply they Download pick hasn't been murdered.

The only downside of this method is it downloads a zip then you need an app to unzip the photos.

Downloading one by one seems the best method for a few photos. But there are a few work-arounds to download more than:

• Use Google Photos in a browser on your device (I tested this - not very easy but it worked)
• Go to https://photos.google.com/
• Select the photos yous desire to download:
• Selecting a photo by pressing on it (like in the mobile app) does not seem to work, but I could select all photos for a given appointment by borer on the date, and so the check mark that appears to the left of the appointment.
• You can now tap anywhere on any photo to select or deselect it.
• This method can be laborious (too many photos to delete one past one). Therefore you may start with a date with one or a few photos, select the ones y'all want, and deselect the ones y'all don't.
• Tap 3-dots > Download. This creates a Aught file on the device.
• Extract the photos from the ZIP file and (optional) delete the Aught.
• This commodity tells you lot how to download an album from the Google Photos app and share to email or  Drive:
• In the Photos app, select Albums from the bottom of the screen.
• Tap on the album you want to download.

• From here, y'all can either electronic mail the photos to yourself, or save them to Google Bulldoze and download them from there.

I'1000 lamentable, I tin only confirm you tin save only one photo at a time to your Android device. Equally a workaround you may download a batch of photos to a computer from the https://photos.google.com website and then copy the photos to the Android device through a USB cable.
